How Long Do Electric Skateboards Last?
Epic Skateboards should last for years with very little maintenance, the lead acid battery will retain charge for up to 500 charges up to 2000km and the lithium Ion battery will retain charge for up to 1000 charges and up to 4000km the wheels will eventually wear but used under normal riding conditions this will take several years.
When The Board Arrives How Do I Get Started?
When your board arrives is comes with a owners manual to explain everything in detail, it is very simple, we have the skateboard charged ready to go, just take it out of the box and Press the power button on board and press the power button on control on the first use you also need to sink the board to the hand control you do this by holding the CODE button down for 5 seconds and than your right to go its recommended to fully drain and fully charge the battery for the first 2-3 times of use to get the battery working at its highest level.
Does Epic Skateboards Come With A Warranty?
Yes, in the unlikely event your board has a problem the board comes with a 6 month manufactures warranty and Epic Skateboards are here to help you with any questions for the life of the board. We are here to help with any questions or concerns but have a no refund policy in case you change your mind on your purchase so consider carefully to get the board that is right for you before making a purchase. Any issues will be addressed as soon as possible and in Australia services, replacement parts and repairs are done in the Gold Coast workshop normally on the same day. If replacement parts need to be delivered it normally takes 2-4days in QLD, NSW and VIC and 3-7days to the rest of Australia. Manufactures warranty does not include misuse, neglect, battery short circuit or wear and tear of your electric skateboard. Battery misuse or neglect void warranty so make sure your battery is cared for correctly by following these steps
1. Make sure that your Epic Skateboard is fully charged prior to initial use. The first charge will take around 3 hours for 36 volt 7ah batteries and up to 10 hours for the 36 volt 20ah batteries. Wait for the red light on the charger to go green before unplugging.
2. Always charge your Epic Skateboard after every use.
3. Epic Skateboards chargers do stop charging when the battery is fully charged but for safety reasons DO NOT leave your Epic Skateboard plugged in for more than 24 hours.
4. Should you wish to store your Epic Skateboard, charge it beforehand and make sure to charge once every 14 days.
Can Epic Skatesboards Travel Up Hill?
Yes, normally 10-15 degrees depending on the riders weight and type of board you get, it is advised to start with a run up as a cold start can damage the motor and even break the drive belt.
When I Order Online How Long Will Delivery Take?
Epic does deliveries daily on the Gold Coast. Depending on where you live, approx 2-4 days to most other parts of Australia, Some parts of Western Australia deliveries take 4-7 days
and internationaly 4-14 days
How Do I Go Forward And Brake?
To go forward pull the hand control trigger toward you, to brake push the hand control trigger forward
When I Received My Board Is It Easy To Get Started?
Yes. All boards receive a owners manual to answer any questions you might have. For your first use, turn on the board then the remote control, then press the CODE button down for 5 seconds till the middle light turns off this allows the board and control to sync.
How Do I Go In Reverse?
You press the mode button on the hand controller the lights will flash then you pull the trigger to break when reversing you just need to push the trigger forward.
How do I claim Warranty
Boards come with a 6 months manufactures warranty.
This includes any defect in workmanship with the skateboard and this does not include wearable parts, misuse, neglect, overloading the board, battery short circuit and water damage. Parts and labor are covered under warranty when it is a manufactural defect although boards are non refundable. To claim warranty the board must be brought back to the place of purchase or Gold Coast workshop in the original packaging.
