Shortboard vs Longboard

July 31, 2014 by Adam Riley 5 Comments

What is the best for a motorised skateboards?.

EpicSkatesThe main difference between a short board and a long board besides for the length is the wheels. A short board is designed for tricks and is much easier when doing complicated jumps and technical spins with the board, the board is normally going to have smaller and harder wheels the hard wheel allows the wheels to slide easier on hard surfaces.

A long board is designed for travel and the wheels are softer and larger for a smoother ride that is perfect for electric skateboards especially when travelling at high speeds. That softness of the wheel helps the board ride over cracks, bumps and rocks on hard surfers a lot easier. It will be much smoother ride. It is going to grip the ground a lot better so your board wont slide. for the smooth stable feel when you’re riding that is very important when doing high speeds on a electric skateboard. The length of the board also gives the board more stability.

Longboard decks have many different shapes depending on riding styles. longboard is more stable than shortboard at higher speeds because of its larger size and thicker wheels

Longboarding and skateboarding is a great way to get around at school. They can be as cheap and as expensive as a bike, but the adventage of a longboard or skateboard is that you can carry it everywhere and ride it practically everywhere.

The best thing is to have both. A long and a short board
