On your first few rides on electric skateboards it is important to follow some simple riding tips till you get familiar with your board. To start, pull the trigger very slowly until you start to feel the motor engaged, keep your weight on your front foot when starting. If you get on the board and pull the trigger quickly with your weight on your back foot the board can throw you off the back. Once the motor is engaged, pull the trigger more to increase speed. To brake, slowly push the trigger forward this will decrease your speed. When braking start by putting your weight on your back foot otherwise if you brake to quick it can throw you off the front. If you let the trigger return to its starting position you will be in neutral. Turning is done like a normal skateboard, the more weight you put on the side of the board the harder you will turn where your weight is put. More advanced skateboards with brushless motors will also have reverse mode. See owners manual.
On all Epic electric skateboards you just press the CODE button on the hand control this will change the mode from forward to reverse and back again also on Epic electric skateboards you have a slow and fast speed for beginners and advanced riders, to change between the speed setting just press the SPEED button on the hand control. A light above the speed button will flash quickly on the quick mode and slowly on the slow mode.
